36. UNDERSTAND THE BASICS OF EXPOSURE

FOR OUR PURPOSES, the term “exposure” refers to the particular combination of camera settings used to create a given image. While this topic could easily fill an entire book of its own, it’s worth discussing briefly here because even the most beautifully composed photo won’t do you much good if the exposure is way off. In that sense, exposure and composition go hand in hand.
