LET’S TAKE A QUICK TOUR of some of the Type features in Photoshop. To start, create a new document and select the Default Photoshop Size (Figure 54.1).

Press T to select the Type tool (the T in the toolbar), and then drag out an area on the document in which to type. I’ll just use the words “Type Basics” for my example (Figure 54.2). The font, style, size, alignment, and color of the type can all be adjusted in the tool options bar at the top of the screen or in the Character, Paragraph, and Properties panels.
