Abstract
Innovation has become the key to growth and dominance in global markets. The center of global innovation may be changing to China. This chapter details how China has moved up the ranks in the Global Innovation Index through the work of companies and government policies. We examine how China is leading research in STEM and how the country’s leading global position in patents translates into greater national and international growth.
