A common theme among the various physical life changes we can experience, such as aging, disability, permanent injury, or prolonged or terminal illness, is lack of control. Our physical selves are changing for the worse. Our bodies are not working, in pain, constantly fatigued, aging, or our mind is going, and there’s little we can do. We see doctors, take medications, use expensive facial creams, maybe eat well and exercise. But ultimately, we can’t wave a magic wand and restore our physical and mental health, or have it render us permanently youthful.
