Setting the Stage to Act
“Kim, are you ready?” the producers asked me.
What did they mean? Was I ready for the 10-day trip to Tel Aviv and then Germany I was supposed to take in the morning? Or was I ready for my first public speech on execution I was supposed to give to 2,000 people in less than two hours at this beautiful event? An event where I was on the bill with acclaimed speakers whose work I greatly admired? They were authors and accomplished veterans of the stage. I was the new kid on the block, and the conversation quickly shifted focus to my talk.
“So, Kim, how many times have you given this speech on execution?”
“Never.”
