The top team

In approaching this chapter, we found ourselves in a quandary. Our strong belief is that engagement is something that in a perfect world should obtain at every level of the organization. Why then should we approach the top team separately? Theoretically, there should be no difference between engaging the top team and engaging any other section of the company. What you do with your senior leadership should simply be repeated down through the levels. Yet experience – and common sense – told us that this was not true in practice.
