Good business strategy must center on people because stakeholders have a vested interest: they can take action, in one way or another, based on their approval or disapproval of what leaders do. So, a top concern for leaders needs to be creating a healthy container for working together with all stakeholders: customers/clients, employees, shareholders, community citizens, regulators, supply-chain constituents, board members, peers, bosses, and even the press. This container includes both the internal cultures we create and the external goals we pursue.
