For many years, I have owned a postproduction company. We specialize in postproduction services for producers of all budget levels. We spend much of the day fixing post problems. In the hustle-and-bustle of production, some issues that will cause problems in post cannot be avoided, but I would say 95% of the problems we encounter could have been avoided. If your production has low standards, it will actually take more time to complete postproduction.
