As of September 2011, there were 750 million Facebook accounts (personal and business pages), and over 225 million of them were registered to Americans. To give you a little perspective, the 2010 US Census counted the population of America at around 312 million people. That means that as many as 72 percent of Americans have registered Facebook accounts. If Facebook statistics are correct that 50 percent of all users log on at least once a day, then as many as 112 million Americans access their account on any given day.1
