Creating timelines is critical to the DVD authoring process inside of Adobe Encore DVD 2.0. Timelines are the building blocks of your project. You can’t background transcode an asset or see how much space an asset will occupy on disc until it’s added to a timeline. Menu buttons can only point to assets if they are part of a timeline. Timelines can only link to assets that are part of another timeline. To paraphrase an old song: an asset is nobody until somebody adds it to a timeline.
