Chapter Three Understanding Conversations: Include and Engage
You already know what happens when you take a good idea or an initiative out to people: they will talk back. They will offer their good ideas and suggestions, maybe adding a few complaints and attitudes. They may even resist some of what you say.
The reason for most “resistance” (sometimes known as avoiding a new idea) is that most people are humming along in their lives, doing just fine without your proposal to try something new.
