If you managers think about it, new ideas are about bet-
ter, faster, cheaper ways to do things, and this is what makes
it easier for you and the company’s other leaders to hit the
numbers. There might be a bit of lag time between an
employee’s suggestions and the payoff, but the better-faster-
cheaper result is what it’s all about, and it will come as long
as employees keep feeding you suggestions and seeing that
their thinking is appreciated.
So, manager, what’s it worth to you to be able to make
better decisions that can be realized on the bottom line you’re
measured against? To make decisions that will get your
