Chapter Six

The Headstrong

Ahhh, the headstrong dog. She’s like a bull in a china shop, who leaves the store chasing his ball while licking your leg and sniffing your sandwich.

This chapter is about dogs that just won’t listen, comply, or pay attention, a problem made doubly annoying—and even dangerous—because of their strength. I have witnessed dogs literally dragging their owners up to outdoor café tables and swiping food off people’s plates. The only good thing about this behavior is finding out that the food, vacuumed up and spat out even more rapidly, is really not as hot as it’s cracked up to be!
