Beef, Broccoli, and Beer Stir-Fry

This is one of those quick dishes you can throw together after a long day at work, when you just don’t have a lot of patience to wait for dinner to happen.

1½ pounds (680 g) top round steak

1 can (12 ounces, or 355 ml) beer

½ cup (120 ml) strong beef broth, divided

1 teaspoon minced fresh thyme

2 teaspoons (10 ml) Mongolian fire oil

2 tablespoons (30 g) hoisin sauce

2 tablespoons (30 g) brown sugar

2 tablespoons (30 ml) cooking oil

2 cups (140 g) broccoli florets

1 cup (65 g) snow peas

1 green bell pepper, seeded and sliced

1 red bell pepper, seeded and sliced

1 yellow bell pepper, seeded and sliced
