EMAILING THE RIGHT MESSAGE

When decisions, directives, orders, and other official news must reach many people at several levels within the organization, email is an efficient vehicle. Even when a message must reach only one person or a small group, sending an email is often wise. An email is a reliable means of:

•  Giving specific instructions

•  Conveying detailed facts or figures

•  Writing a message any time of the day or night

•  Replying directly to another person’s written or oral request

•  Establishing a record to show that certain things have been said or done, or that certain views are held

•  Attaching additional information ...
