A professional tip
Use water and a squeegee to put up gels on windows inside, when you can’t get to the window from the exterior (e.g., a high-rise). Photo mount spray can also be used, or a small tab of ATG tape. If you check with the DP and ask what they are seeing, you can sometimes use photo black tape. (It will look like part of the window frame.) (NICE TO KNOW)
Standard cool-white or daylight fluorescent tubes offer a reasonable approximation of photographic daylight except for their excessive green content. Two separate techniques are available to deal with this situation: (1) balance all sources to the fluorescent, or (2) balance the fluorescent to the sources.
