Introduction
I am an independent governance advisor who has been retained by the board of directors of the organization to review and advise on this Director Competency and Attribute Review by directors.
This Director Competency and Attribute Review has been developed to assess, and have due regard for, new, incumbent and prospective directors’ competencies and attributes.
Identified competency and attribute gaps resulting from this self-assessment will be utilized (1) to assess and communicate the needs to support board member elections to the organization board of directors; (2) to recommend future incumbent directors by the governance and nominating committee; and (3) to identify “potential future” candidates with the possibility of filling future board vacancies, both planned and unplanned.
