Interchangeability of Components

The 1000F and 1600F models (see Figure 21-1) take the same rollfilm magazines as the newer models. The very early types of film magazine did not lock the release at the end of the roll, so you could take pictures after the film had gone through the magazine.

The 1000F and 1600F may have one of the older viewing hoods, where the magnifier is on a foldable arm rather than on a panel that covers the top completely. You can update such a camera by equipping it with any one of the current viewfinders.

The bayonet lens mount on 1000F and 1600F models differs from that of the newer models, and therefore lenses are not interchangeable. There is no coupling ...
