USING SHEWHART CHARTS IN HEALTH CARE LEADERSHIP
The usefulness of Shewhart charts extends beyond the project level and into the realm of senior leadership. This chapter discusses how leaders can use a set of measures for learning about and improving their organization as a system. In some organizations, system-level data are primarily used to set targets linked to senior leadership accountability and financial compensation.
