Nancy’s cell phone rang later that day, as she was dialing Hank on her desk phone. “Hello,” she said, “you must be reading my mind. Do we have any hits at all or are there too many hits?”
“We are sitting in the cat-bird seat,” said Hank. “Come down to the lab and I’ll show you the suspects.”
Nancy was excited and headed down to the basement. She actually did not know precisely what a “cat-bird seat” was, but she imagined it was something desirable. At least she hoped it was.
“Coffee?” asked Hank, when she came to the doorway of his cube.
