When Nancy entered Basel’s office the next morning, she found him standing up and looking out the window.
“Good morning Nancy,” he said, with his back to her.
Nancy sensed he was upset. “How are things going Basel?” she asked, as she sat down.
He turned. “Not as well as I wanted,” Basel said. “I had a meeting with the CFO last night, and among other issues, they are cutting our budget 5% next year.”
Nancy was aghast. “That’s ridiculous! We increased the amount of information we send out over the internet by 40% this year, and even more is planned next year. How can they expect us to secure that volume of traffic and fight the increasing number of fake-emails, malware attacks and fake-web sites with less money?”
