Lean infers both your inclination, or angle of approach and also thin, efficient, no wastage or superfluous fat. Both definitions have an application in leadership.
‘Lean’ became an accepted concept in business some decades ago, used to describe the improvement of process flow and the elimination of waste (products and time), and was developed by the Toyota Motor Corporation. Lean is basically about getting the right things to the right place, at the right time, in the right quantities, while minimising waste and being flexible and open to change and further development.
