Getting Started

Though I admire your desire to learn more about the iPod by purchasing this little guide, my guess is that before you delve too deeply into this book, you’d like to actually use your iPod. That’s what this chapter is for—getting you up and running as quickly as possible. Here are the steps to take:

1. Open the box.

After you’ve ripped the wrapping off your iPod, try turning it on. If it recently came from the factory, it could be charged and nearly ready to play.

2. Turn on the iPod.
