11. Why Good Documentation Matters

I’m an author of technology and computer books and manuals, so you might expect me to say that good documentation in IT matters and is important. It’s not just about my personal opinion however, or that of my publisher, other tech authors, technical writers, and editors. I’d suggest that it’s vital, if I may be so bold, to have good-quality documentation for your IT systems for everything from staff training to specialist training, and especially for everybody involved in the IT troubleshooting and repair process. Let me explain why.
