What’s the best way to improve performance of knowledge work competencies? The only way: industrialization.
This chapter makes a bold assertion. It argues that since time immemorial, there has only been one improvement in business, and that improvement is industrialization: standardization, specialization, and division of labor.
Skeptics, which include almost everyone, will say, “What about steam? Electricity? Computers? The wheel, for crying out loud?”
