This glossary contains definitions of terms as applied within The LabVIEW Style Book. The terms are generally consistent with the LabVIEW documentation and appropriate software and virtual instrumentation industry standards. However, some of the terms are evolutionary, overlapping, or ambiguous. In some instances, I have taken the liberty to choose forms of the definitions that best support the relevant material in the book. The definitions remain consistent throughout the book.
