Straight-grain bands of woven
fabric are diagonally laid
upon the figure, creating a
handmade stripe, joining the
visual and structural aspects
of bias cutting. The solid
sleeve on each piece is an
interesting contrast detail.

A true bias cut has infinite
give through the lattice like
orientation of its threads,
adjusting themselves to fit
by expanding horizontally
while the garment becomes
shorter. This expansive qual-
ity is used to accommodate
a pregnant form without
restriction, while draping
flexibly into the sculpted
folds at the shoulder.
