Chapter 10. Surf The Web

Different things you do on your Macintosh require different applications. To browse the web, you’ll use the software application called a browser. In your Dock, you have an icon for the browser called Safari.

This is the Safari icon that you should see in the Dock. If it’s not there, you’ll find it in your Applications folder.

You can view web pages in your browser, watch movies, hear music, print from your browser, and on and on. In this chapter I’m going to give you some basic tips that will get you started right away.
