Gretna Green is a small village in Scotland, just north of the border with England. In 1754, the Marriage Act prevented couples under the age of 21 marrying in England—causing star-crossed lovers to elope north of the border. Once a Scottish Las Vegas without Elvis, Gretna Green remains forever associated with hope, love, and romance.
This little village also bears witness to one of nature’s marvels—the murmuration of birds.
