In a way, an extreme situation that takes the vast majority of global businesses online, like the COVID-19 pandemic, almost forces you to connect in a way you might have previously avoided. Once social distancing was implemented, people found creative ways to connect—they played tennis across rooftops, hopped in their cars to wave homemade birthday posters outside friends’ windows, and used Zoom for happy hours, religious celebrations, weddings, and even funerals.
