But the isolated fact that he was born on a certain day seems unremarkable by itself, for it confers no distinction on Bill Barber. Everybody was born on a certain day. Indeed, of all the approximately 50 million babies who came into the world in 1911, roughly one-365th of them – 137,000 or so – were born on the same day as Bill Barber: 4/7/11.
