Tools for Strategic Alignment
When I rst met Buckeye back in 2008, the main problem they needed to
solve was insucient strategic alignment between the work done in the
product and market development organization, and the needs of the proj-
ect management team. In 2007, this group had experienced a signicant
product failure when an R & D project that took years of work achieved
little to no traction in the marketplace.
Buckeye Technologies is the only global company that makes specialty
bers from wood pulp and cotton. e company uses some of the wood
