Sometimes it happens without you even realizing it …
You're off to a great start! You woke up at 5 a.m., poured yourself a cup of coffee, and sat down to tackle your e-mails. You answered the woman who had questions about her upcoming photography session. You sent off a contract to a new client. You e-mailed information about packages to a potential client interested in a session. You made all of your kid's lunches and threw in a load of laundry before anyone else even woke up.
This day is yours and you are determined to live it to its fullest!
You got the kids dressed with minimal meltdowns, dressed yourself, whipped on your favorite lipstick, and arrived at school with plenty of time to spare.
You're outside chatting with some of the other moms when the woman we'll call “Sharon” ambushes you.
“Ohhhhh. You're Kimberly? You photographed my neighbor's daughter's first birthday party, and oh my gosh!!! Those photos were amazing! I'm so glad I ran into you; you absolutely must photograph my daughter's Sweet 16 party! Please tell me you're available June 22nd?!”
Your ego lights up from her gushing about your work. You're excited to hear that word is getting out about your new business. You've been a professional photographer for years, but only recently opened your business and started marketing it.
