Media Workflow is an area fraught with a veritable alphabet soup of acronyms and terms. A glossary will be provided, helping the user to “speak the language” that is media workflow.

AQC: Automated Quality Control. This is typically carried out by a machine by providing it with specific test plans for testing specific fields (both metadata and data) and the objective is either a pass/fail or ensuring that the data is within a pre-established tolerance.

Artistic Intent: The program maker’s interpretation of the images, primarily conveyed through the use of color, low-lights, and mid-tones.
