Abstract

The traditional Mediterranean diet (MD) is considered one of the best dietary models for human health, and its benefits have been demonstrated in numerous studies. It is rich in minerals derived from vegetables, fruits, whole-meal cereals, and fish. Therefore, close adherence to Mediterranean dietary patterns (MDP) makes the risk of deficient mineral intake quite improbable.
