18.1 Introduction
In Chapter 5, “MFESA: e Ontology of Concepts and Terminology,” we very briefly addressed
how quality characteristics and quality attributes can be used to engineer quality requirements
that can be grouped together to form quality concerns, the architectural ramifications of which
can be documented in the form of quality focus areas. In that chapter, we also touched on how
the system architecture had a major impact on the degree to which the system could meet its
