Sync

Over the years, audio production and electronic music have evolved into an indispensable production tool within almost all forms of media production. In video postproduction, for example, video workstations, digital audio workstations (DAWs), automated console systems and electronic musical instruments routinely work together to help create a soundtrack and refine it into its finished form. The technology that allows multiple audio and visual media to operate in tandem so as to maintain a direct time relationship is known as synchronization or sync.
