A Mock Interview

This is our last case study, and it features what I consider two main areas of concern for eyewitness interviews: (a) the lack of efficacy in preserving cognitive evidence, and (b) the lack of awareness at retrieving unreliable cognitive evidence. Because we do not evaluate the performance of law enforcement in interviewing eyewitnesses, we have no idea about the magnitude of this issue: Relying on unreliable cognitive evidence to generate leads and identify culprits for arrest.
