Participants You Weren’t Expecting
Abstract
This chapter covers situations where the participant doesn't fit your recruiting criteria or doesn't meet your expectations in some other way. These include situations such as a participant who does not meet your recruit criteria, a participant who either refuses to or can't do a key task that was a condition of his recruit, and a participant who has a physical feature that does not align with your setup. For each situation you'll learn what to do, what to say, what not to do or say, and how you might be able to avoid it in the future.
