1 Approaches to leadership teams
In 2019, Sara Mella was appointed head of personal banking at Nordea, the largest Nordic Bank in terms of assets. Mella had pursued a career in banking, rising through Nordea’s ranks with only a short interruption during which she worked for the publishing industry. In her role as an executive team member in charge of personal banking across all Nordea’s markets, she would be leading a large team of professionals tasked with bringing closer together the different markets that traditionally had been managed mostly separately.
