Chapter 16 Writing and Delivering Your Proposal

Once you have worked out the details of your ideal arrangement, you must write a proposal. You should have a written proposal ready to go before bringing up your request with your boss. The written proposal demonstrates that you have thoroughly thought out your plan, and it gives your boss a document to review carefully. Your boss may also need something to pass along to any others in the company who need to approve the arrangement. While your face-to-face meeting with your boss will be a pivotal part of this process, the written document will be your key selling tool.
