EVEN BEFORE OUR relationship with Seagram’s started, Martin and I were coming up in the world. After five years living together in Marina del Rey, we decided to upgrade to Windsong, our stunning Montecito estate overlooking the Pacific. While still in Los Angeles, Martin witnessed a drive-by shooting, and that was it. Besides, we could afford the upgrade. By that time Martin and JP had grown Patrón into a multi-million-dollar business, with sales doubling every year despite the many logistic challenges.
