In my neck of the woods, tradition dictates that on Thanksgiving morning we play football. Some play tackle football, others two-hand touch, and others are organized . . . . . 127 . . . . . enough to have flags. Family against family, brother against brother, everyone plays football on Thanksgiving. We call it the Turkey Bowl. Wannabes from every walk of life get together on an elementary or junior high school field to claim glory and bragging rights for an entire year.
