You’ve stopped. You’ve looked. You’ve listened. Now that you can see the people, technology, and organization possibilities in the environment, how do you put them together and follow through with implementation?
Mixing is the second practice of the plugged-in manager.
Mixing is a metaphor for how you bring together the people possibilities, the technology possibilities, and the organizational possibilities to create a way of working. You can’t just make a change to one of these three dimensions without making a balancing adjustment to the others. Think about making a rich stew.
