Plane rides can be long and tedious—especially when you cross time zones. All too often, there are minor inconveniences and delays. The scenarios are endless. For any number of reasons, you may prefer a different seat or have some typical tourist questions for the flight crew. If you’re lucky enough to be traveling on a foreign airline, you might want to use your knowledge of the language to help you get some tips and information. Use the terms in Table 4.1 to help you face any problem you might encounter.
