All you need to buy directly is one stock per company you choose, then you can apply directly through the company for participation in its DRIP program. We talk more about how to buy that first share of stock in Chapter 4.
If you choose a company that offers a DSP, then you’ll be able to make your first purchase directly through the company. We talk more about how to get started with DSPs in the next chapter.
