You have been carjacked.
You are now sitting in the passenger seat and a man in a ski mask is pointing a gun at you while he drives your car. You have only a split second to size up the situation. Does he intend to kill you, or will he drop you off somewhere up ahead on the road? Your door is unlocked, so the thought passes through your mind that you could jump out of the moving car onto the street and run away. But would you survive the jump?
