Distance, Space, and Color

A very important part of color and our perception of it is how it affects our perceptions of distance and space. This can have a huge effect on your photo and its impact on a viewer. A photograph is a flat, two-dimensional object that has no real depth to it. You create the feeling of depth by using a number of cues about distance that are based on our experience with reality. Distance refers to how far away something is or looks, and space refers to the three-dimensional volume around your subject.
