More on Composition

Make or Break a Composition

When photographers get together to critique each other’s photos, composition usually comes up. Composition is seen as the way one frames a scene and organizes what is in the photo. That is only part of the story. A number of other things influence composition, and color is one of them.

Even if you change little in a composition except what colors are included and where, you will have a big impact on how that photo communicates to a viewer. Composition is ultimately about communication—how you use the visual language of photography to connect with someone else by showing your photos.
