There was a time when people fought about using the landline. Growing up with two sisters, I had some epic face-to-face battles over whose turn it was to use the telephone in our house.

Though that situation may seem quaint now in the age of the personal smartphone, it’s important to remember that new advances in communications technology usually come with a learning curve.
